About us

Home / about us

Every project easier, every project better.

At DuCo we know the spaces we spend our time in play a big role in our quality of life. Windows, doors and details dictate the light, warmth and outlook of a room; contributing to our happiness, health and wellbeing.

For over 50 years we’ve been helping create spaces that people love to be in. From our family-owned workshop in the Waikato, our expert team design, manufacture and install premium quality joinery and accessories throughout the North Island.

When it comes to our business; we know that everything’s better connected: from the deep care we take in manufacturing, to the clear communication our customers need to achieve their project goals.

We’re here to make it easy. Which is why whether it’s family homes or commercial builds, our promise remains the same: start to finish and beyond, we’re here the whole way through.

How We Work

When we talk about creating spaces you love to be in, we consider all spaces joinery can be fitted, and the different ways joinery can influence the end user.

How We Work

When we talk about creating spaces you love to be in, we consider all spaces joinery can be fitted, and the different ways joinery can influence the end user.

When we think about spaces, we think: entrances, bedrooms, hallways, living rooms, kitchens, laundry, workshops, offices, outdoor rooms, patios, decks, classrooms, toilets, bathrooms, factories, sheds…

When we think about physical influences, we think: people and movement, light flow, air flow, temperature, visual, noise, aesthetics, security and safety…

And when we think about emotional influencers, we think: open, closed, light, warm, welcoming, statement, WOW factor, cosy, dim, healthy, safe, hidden, fresh, quiet… the list goes on. We consider this the DuCo Difference.

The DuCo difference

What makes us, us.

Here the whole way through

It’s our promise to you. From design advice to quoting, manufacturing, and aftercare, we’re with our clients from start to finish and beyond. When you work with us, you can rest assured we’re on the job, we’ll deliver, and we’ve got your back to the very end.

Crafted Local

DuCo is proudly born and bred Waikato local. We believe we’re better connected to our local community – when supporting local organisations and initiatives, mucking in on local projects, growing and nurturing relationships with our people. We believe we’re better connected to our industry peers – when we build and maintain trusting relationships with local collaborators, we’re helping to bring up the local economy, bring up our local talent and enjoy ourselves while we’re at it.

Sustainable from the start

Our products and processes are designed with climate in mind. We aim for improved sustainability from end to end, sourcing locally, only sourcing what we need, and recycling 99% of offcuts from our manufacturing process.

Our products are at the forefront of new building technology, offering elegant, thermally efficient designs which result in energy savings for both people and the planet. This is why we are passionate about supplying joinery to new homes, we go over and beyond code standard requirements, and replace existing joinery to elevate existing housing standards.

Our Team

Our talented team of locals work as equals towards one shared vision: ‘trusted to make it easier, trusted to do it better’. Our culture is built on mutual trust and respect, and we have confidence in each other's expertise. Below are our core staff, currently employed by DuCo.
